Assist Pro’s published guidance lists Windows desktop Excel 2013 and later, including Microsoft 365. Check the installer’s current requirements and supported Office bitness. Excel for the web does not run this VBA ribbon. Recent Microsoft 365 desktop Excel is recommended.

The MSI installer is designed to get you started in a few minutes. Downloads, activation and workplace IT permissions may add time.

Your existing formulas and macros remain in the workbook. Test compatibility with your normal add-ins and review changes made by any tool or generated macro.

Performance depends on the action, workbook size and available resources. Simple actions are typically lighter than large ledger analyses or OCR. See the recommended setup and test a representative file.

Close Excel, open Windows Settings → Apps → Installed apps, choose Assist Pro and uninstall. Uninstalling does not cancel your subscription. Back up personal routines first.

Ready-made workbook actions work in Excel on your device. Online AI tools require external processing of the information submitted, and activation uses online licence services. Check the current privacy terms and your organisation’s rules before submitting confidential content.

Do not assume all features are offline. AI requests may send your prompts or selected content to the configured AI service. Use only information you are authorised to submit and check the applicable data-handling terms.

Internet is needed for Macro Wizard generation, Formula Assistant, online AI and licence validation. Saved macros and local tools can run offline if they do not depend on online services, subject to your licence’s offline allowance.

Use local workbook tools under your organisation’s security policies. Before using online AI with client information, confirm what will be submitted and whether your organisation permits that processing.

Core writing, translation, Formula Assistant and Excel AI tools are in Assist Pro. The supplied ribbon gates the Business and Audit AI menus behind Pro+. The quick Professional Email shortcut also appears on the Assist Pro tab.

Describe the Excel task you need, or use Teach Assist Pro to record a process. Macro Wizard helps create, edit, test, rerun and save VBA routines. Review generated code and test on a copy. What it can automate depends on Excel, your permissions and the task.

Describe a calculation and get a suggested Excel formula with an explanation. You can also create, explain, fix, optimise or convert formulas using the Excel AI tools. Test the result against known values.

Your workbooks remain standard Excel files saved wherever you keep them. A subscription is needed to use the Assist Pro features, but the files themselves remain yours.

Clients can view ordinary Excel outputs and exported PDFs without Assist Pro. Running Assist Pro actions or any dependent custom functionality requires the relevant software and access.

You can keep your usual Excel workflow and add Assist Pro where it helps. Start with one task, then decide which tools fit your process.

General tools work with suitable data imported into Excel. The ribbon includes formatters for SAP, Xero, QuickBooks, Syspro, Palladium and several Sage formats. The GL Setup Wizard helps map other layouts. Reconcile totals after preparation.

Assist Pro includes formatters for several common ERP and accounting exports. The result depends on the file layout, so check row counts and totals after preparing a ledger.

Excel’s usual shortcuts remain available. Press Alt to see ribbon KeyTips. Check the current guide for any additional Assist Pro shortcuts rather than assuming a particular hotkey.

Many ribbon controls include hover tips. Use Find a Tool where your plan makes it available, open the online tool directory or contact support with the tool name and your task.
