Start with the issue you can see.

Try a tool name, error message or phrase such as “ribbon missing” or “activation”.

The Assist Pro ribbon is missingAdd-in

Close and reopen desktop Excel. In Excel, open File → Options → Add-ins and check whether Assist Pro appears in the active or inactive list. If Excel disabled it, note the message and contact support before changing security settings.

Assist Pro buttons are greyed outAdd-in

Check that a workbook is open and that Excel has finished calculating or processing. Try the action in a copy of a small sample workbook. Note the selected cells and the exact tool name if the buttons stay unavailable.

Excel says macros are blocked or disabledExcel

Use the installer and files approved by your organisation. Do not lower Excel’s macro security settings or enable an unknown file. Ask your IT team whether the signed Assist Pro add-in and its installation location are approved.

Excel freezes or runs slowlyExcel

Save your workbook, allow any current task to finish, then close other large workbooks and try a smaller copy. Note the file size, row count, tool used and whether the issue repeats. Avoid force-closing Excel while it is saving.

Undo if the action supports it, or return to your saved copy. Check the selected range, headers, blank rows and number formats. Try a small sample and compare the result before running it on the full workbook.

Check that the data is on the active worksheet, headers are present and there are no merged cells in the selected range. Some tools need a specific column layout. Open the tool guide for its expected inputs.

Restart Windows and open Excel again. If it is still missing, check the installed Assist Pro version and whether Excel lists the add-in as inactive. Contact support before reinstalling so we can help preserve your saved routines.
